 FAQs

  • I am not in network with any insurance companies. For individual therapy, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for out of network benefits. Some insurance companies will reimburse you quite a bit! The CPT codes 90791, 90837, and 90834 are the most common codes that will be used for individual counseling. You are encouraged to call your insurance to have informed consent about the out of network coverage you have before beginning therapy.

For EMDR Intensives, I cannot provide you with a super bill as insurance does not cover intensives at all.

  • For individual therapy, the first session will be an initial assessment that is 60 minutes. This session entails hearing more about your presenting concerns, going as deep into your history as you feel comfortable, getting to know each other, and talking about goals, treatment, and answering any questions. This is a casual and intuitive process and will meet you where you are at in your nervous system to determine the pace of therapy. My initial sessions are less clinical and formal and more relational and casual!

  • I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend a session that you and I have scheduled, please inform me at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not cancel, and do not show up for your session, you will be charged the full session fee. I allot a 15 minute grace period for you to show up in person or through teletherapy - after the 15 mins you will be considered a “no show.” For EMDR Intensives, the cancellation policy will be covered in our initial consultation.

  • Great question! Thankfully there are so many different modalities and therapeutic options to help so many unique personalities and issues, but it can get overwhelming to know “which one is best.” I am here to answer questions, guide you, and provide clinical insight to which treatment might be appropriate for the type of healing you are looking for. for your presenting concerns.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services.

  • If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
